Hakuba is arguably the most popular winter sports region in Honshu and is home to a number of snow resorts set against an impressive mountain backdrop. There are a number of resorts lined up along a 30km stretch of mountains. More than 200 runs to suit skiers and boarders of all ability levels. A seasonal average of 10 plus meters of snow. In 2016/17 winter ski season, Hakuba 5-days all mountain lift pass is available to use at the Hakuba's most major 11 ski resorts. You can ski all these ski resorts with the same pass on the same day! Free Shuttle buses are also available between resorts.
When you gaze at the mountains in the Hakuba valley, you will see why this resort stands apart from the rest. Huge 3,000 meter high jagged peaks tower above the town below. To stand on top of these snow covered mountains and gaze at the valley below is awe-inspiring and the views are postcard worthy. Indoor and open air public hot springs, foot spas and hotel hot springs, are great for relaxing and rejuvenating after a day our on the mountain, and will make your stay all the more worthwhile. Hakuba Ski Jumping Stadium and the Winter Olympic Memorial Museum will remind you of the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympic Games. You can go up to the top observation deck of the jumping hills to look over the jumper's area of flight and view the town below.
